About the Academy

  • Get your career in gear: Your Path to Becoming a Driver

    Do you have the drive to become an HGV Class 2 Driver in 6 months, earn while you learn, and work for a family-run business? Don’t let your career stall, we want to hear from you!

  • The TDA Academy (TDA) in a nutshell

    The TDA offers an opportunity for new and current Reynolds employees with a strong work ethic to become qualified LGV/HGV Drivers. During training, you’ll earn a salary while driving a 3.5T vehicle and studying theory. Once qualified, you’ll drive a 7.5T vehicle for up to 8 weeks to gain experience, after which your salary will increase to the 7.5T rate. Upon successful assessment in an HGV Class 2 vehicle, you’ll become a Reynolds qualified Class 2 Driver, with a further salary increase.

  • What's required?

    – Full UK Manual Driving Licence (max 6 points).

    – Willing to undergo a DVLA licence check and DBS check.

    – No TT99, DD, CD, or DG codes on your licence, and it hasn’t been revoked.

    – No prior Theory/Hazard Perception/CPC 2 training.
